Orthodox Agrees with Vatican on Homosexuals

The Russian Orthodox Church came out with a statement confirming the Vaticans stance on the admittance of practicing homosexuals into seminaries. The Orthodox also admonished liberal Protestant congregates of allowing the secular world influence their theology. In my opinion, we'll unite with the Orthodox before we unite with any other Christian sect. We share more in common with the Orthodox than we do with the Kennedy-Kerry Klan of Massachusetts. I a big fan of the Orthdox Church. When I was arguing with a Fundamnentalist once he was at a loss to explain why "Catholic inventions" since the Reformation, like the book of Maccabees and such also exisit in the Orthdox Church despite the split 500 years earlyer.

I am not exactly sure but I belive despite the Schism the Eastern Churches are still recognized as valid with their bishops also being succesors to the apostles?

It would be great to see full re-unification between the two.

Excellent post, Conde. And yes, FD, the various Eastern Orthodox are considered valid, but schismatic... unlike the Protestants, who are both schismatic and heretical.

Just a guess on my part, but I can see one or two of the smaller Estern Orthodox Churches re-uniting with Rome, such as the Romanian or Albanian Orthodox. God willing!

oops. I didn't finish my sentence!

I can see one or two of the smaller Estern Orthodox Churches re-uniting with Rome, such as the Romanian or Albanian Orthodox, before the larger one, such as the Russian or Greek Orthodox, do.

Thanks NON SVM DIGNVS!

Great point to remember FD, next time I encounter a Protestant.

I believe we are closer to the Orthodox than any other Christian denomination.

By the way, that is a picture of an Albanian Orthodox Mass I believe.
