What the Bible Says About Contraception

We as Catholics can learn from the teachings of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior via the Magisterium that contraception is an anathema to God. Tradition has always been against the use of contraception as well as the Bible. Here are a few quotes for you non-Catholic Christians to discern about contraception: So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. And God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth." --Genesis 1:27-28 God created Man to procreate, not to use sex for pleasure. Sexual pleasure is a residual result when done between a man and a woman in marriage which becomes a unitive act; unitying both man and woman as one. Like grapes in the wilderness, I found Israel. Like the first fruit on the fig tree, in its first season, I saw your fathers. But they came to Ba'al-pe'or, and consecrated themselves to Ba'al, and became detestable like the thing they loved. E'phraim's glory shall fly away like a bird -- no birth, no pregnancy, no conception! Even if they bring up children, I will bereave them till none is left. Woe to them when I depart from them! E'phraim's sons, as I have seen, are destined for a prey; E'phraim must lead forth his sons to slaughter. Give them, O LORD -- what wilt thou give? Give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts. Every evil of theirs is in Gilgal; there I began to hate them. Because of the wickedness of their deeds I will drive them out of my house. I will love them no more; all their princes are rebels. E'phraim is stricken, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit. Even though they bring forth, I will slay their beloved children. My God will cast them off, because they have not hearkened to him; they shall be wanderers among the nations. --Hosea 9:10-17 God punishes those that use contraception for any means outside of the procreative and unitive acts of matrimony. But Onan knew that the offspring would not be his; so when he went in to his brother's wife he spilled the semen on the ground, lest he should give offspring to his brother. And what he did was displeasing in the sight of the LORD, and he slew him also. --Genesis 38:9-10 Those that practice contraception will be dead in spirit, separated from God. Basically leading amoral and empty lives because sex is used separated from the procreative act, thus rendering it as a 'choice' that only leads to a decline in morality and death in spirit. "He whose testicles are crushed or whose male member is cut off shall not enter the assembly of the LORD. --Deuteronomy 23:1 Those that neuter themselves through vasectomies or other surgical enhancements to end the possibility of procreation have casted themselves outside the graces of God. Which ultimately leads to a shallow and amoral life since sex is used for pleasure that is separated from the procreative and unitive act in matrimony. because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever! Amen. For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. Their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural, and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in their own persons the due penalty for their error. --Romans 1:25-27 When man and woman separate the act of procreation from matrimony, this only leads down the dark path of sodomy, pedophilia, and other 'unnatural' acts. This exemplifies that women are blessed because they have the awesome duty of childbearing. Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. --Galatians 6:7 It pretty much explains itself. You say that God accepts all who sin? You are correct, when one atones for their sin through the Sacrament of Penance. For those wanting an indepth teaching of the theology and philosophy why Catholic Church don't allow contraception for contraception click here (Humanae Vitae by Pope Paul VI).

Thats right Conde. To often I hear liberals and watered down Catholics defend abortion, contraception, pre-martial sex, etc, with "But Jesus forgvies all right??!??!"

Yah, if you actually admit your wrong, feel bad, and do something about it, Jesus doesn't take kindly to being treated like a doormat I bet.

Yep, only with sincerity. God knows if you're playing the game or actually contrite.
