Giuliani Tells Me To Get Over Abortion
. . . because "Our party has to get beyond issues like that,".
Nice.
A prominent national politician who so happens to be Catholic is telling YOU and me, American voters, that we have to get over the abortion issue. For those not familiar with this issue and Mayor Rudy Giuliani, he is a pro-abortion candidate who believes killing unborn innocent children is a 'right' for women.
He also appeared to indicate that the Republican Party won't gain supporters if it retains its pro-life position. "Our party is going to grow, and we are going to win in 2008 if we are a party characterized by what we're for, not if we're a party that's known for what we're against," he said. However, the GOP has nominated pro-life presidential candidates in every race since 1980 and it has won five of the seven contests -- all against pro-abortion Democrats.
Polls have also shown that abortion is a winning issue for GOP presidential candidates.Post-election polling after the 2004 presidential elections found that President Bush's pro-life stance gave him an edge over pro-abortion Sen. John Kerry. A 2004 Wirthlin Worldwide post-election poll found that 42 percent of voters said abortion affected the way they voted for president. Twenty-four percent of voters cast their ballots for President Bush while 15% voted for Kerry, giving Bush a 9 percent advantage on the issue of abortion. Eight percent of voters in the Wirthlin poll indicated abortion was the "most important" issue affecting their votes and Bush won among those voters by a six to two percent margin, leading Kerry by four percentage points among the most intense abortion voters.Well just like the boycott of Ford, Mayor Giuliani's stance on abortion has been hurting his polling numbers. Dear Catholic Blogosphere: No On Rudy Giuliani
We've seen the videos of Mayor Rudy Giuliani unequivocally endorsing the pro-choice/pro-abortion stance as well as his fondness for homosexual marriage. We've seen Republicans first, Catholic second or third like Sean Hannity fall into man-love with with Mayor Giuliani. We in the Catholic blogosphere who adhere to the teachings of Christ need to come together to oppose Mayor Giuliani.
Why? The presidential election is only two years away.
Well because Mayor Giuliani can wrap up the nomination before we even enter the primaries that's why.
Why? There is still the Democratic Party to consider.
Well, I haven't seen a strong pro-life candidate emerge from the party of death since John F. Kennedy, and that was almost 40 years ago.
So what does that leave us?
The new media has handed American Christians, especially Catholics, this opportunity to raise awareness at our disillusion with Rudolph Giuliani. We need to call-out those like Sean Hannity who's lust for power makes him no better than the Clinton's, and either help them to practice their faith or reveal them as charlatans. What next? Michelle Malkin selling her Catholic soul for the golden calf of the presidency?
#1: We probably need to raise our voices in a unified opposition to Mayor Giuliani and show those like Sean Hannity that we are in this world, not of this world.
#2: We need to find a viable option to Mayor Giuliani as in Senator Sam Brownback or Congressman Duncan Hunter (just to name a couple).

Public Heretic #1
Sean Hannity has always been known of having a shallow faith in Catholicism, regardless of his protestations to the obvious. Many times in the past have I cringed any time he would talk about his faith because he was incorrect at times, not often, but obvious when he was. I've become less of a fan of Sean Hannity recently, especially when he castigates callers on his radio show for not supporting Mayor Rudy Giuliani because of his pro-abortion/pro-choice stance.
Now we have seen more of the same of Mr. Hannity's heterodoxy, and I for one will not defend him no longer.
Being a Christian, especially Catholic, does not begin and end in Sunday Mass. It is a way of life, our faith transcends our life to be a witness in the world. Not be of this world as Sean Hannity has clearly shown. We are Christians first before we are anything else. Whether it be Republican or Democrat, American or Mexican, our faith transcends our thoughts and our actions. Sean Hannity clearly believes himself to be a Republican first and a Christian second.
It is obvious by Mr. Sean Hannity's blinding support for Mayor Rudy Giuliani, another Catholic In Name Only, that Mr. Hannity lust for power at all costs has compromised his faith in Jesus for temporal power.

Euteneuer called out Sean Hannity for his promotion of birth control:
"then the repentance I would like to hear out of Sean Hannity's mouth is for his shameless—even scandalous—promotion of birth control."Well Sean Hannity didn't like being called out on his false faith and here is the following clip where Fr. Euteneuer and Sean Hannity 'debating' on Hannity & Colmes: Towards the end of this video clip Father Euteneur was asked by Alan Colmes if he would deny Sean Hannity Communion and Father Euteneur said "I would". The look on Sean Hannity's face is sweet.
