The Democratic Party In Crisis
Today is a slow day and I feel like blogging, so here is a rambling rant on the state of the national Democratic Party in America...
I am troubled by the state of the Democratic Party in America. They have lost their idealism, their purpose, their resolve. The 60s are over, the battle over racism has largely been won. They got Roe v. Wade passed and have innumerable rights for every group imaginable.
What happened? My opinion is that Democrats are largely people of empty amoral lives that need a cause to feel fulfilled. Since they deny the existence of God (I'm generalizing Democrats, I know there are God-fearing Christians, but you guys lost the soul of your party), they feel better about themselves by tearing down others. Thus this explains their vitriol towards President George W. Bush, and any high ranking Republican or celebrity with strong Christian values.
Having been defeated in state after state of promoting homosexual unions as marriage, they have lost their way. Communism having been discredited with the demise of the Soviet Union in 1992 and the inaptitude of Socialism with the collapsing economies of France and Germany in 2004 and 5. The Democrats are in the wrong end of history and they are doing everything possible to bring down the other party, ie, the Republican Party. They have lost their way.
I don't know what will happen, but it is clear that the Democratic Party is guided by the need for power as opposed to serving the American people. When 2008 rolls around it will be interesting how they will sell Senator Hillary Clinton. God help them.
