Chancellor Merkel Will Push for a Christian EU
Chancellor Merkel had an 'intense' discussion with Pope Benedict XVI at his summer residence in Castel Gandolfo concerning various topics, among them, the inclusion of a reference to Christianity in the European Union constitution.
Germany will be heading up the EU presidency with Merkel soon and has become adamant in recognizing Europes Christian heritage. Resistance is expected to come from France mostly, with the Scandinavian countries followed closely and a weary United Kingdom.
I personally hope and pray that they recognize their Christian heritage before they all fall into dhimminitude.

A small step but a good one. I have a feeling Poland, Ireland, and Malta will back Germany on this. Italy, Spain, and France might too if the more right-wing parties come back into power in those lands in the next election cycle.
