I'm saddened to hear such a comment. You know what they say about people who ass-ume things about others. If it were true that those of us Catholics who have a heart to love and bridge gaps with Muslims, as does His Eminence and groups such as Focolare, etc, that we then must be "muslims"; then I think such people would be friends of the Pharisees who thought Jesus was a sinner because he befriended sinners.

Cardinal McCarrick has shown more enthusiasm for Islam than he has for Catholicism.

If he were a stalwart of the Truth, which he isn't, then I could certainly appreciate his fascination with Islam and these little idiosyncrasies.

But to pray like a Muslim is not to pray like a Christian, more importantly, like a Catholic. Especially for a Cardinal.

Cardinal McCarrick's complete disregard for the sacred and mysterious in Catholicism along with his syncratism causes confusion at best, scandal at worst.

Remember that the road to Hell is paved with the skulls of bishops.
