Christian Mother Imprisoned for Homeschooling

In Germany Katharina Plett was arrested and imprisoned for homeschooling her twelve children. During her arrest, which was covert, she was able to phone her husband in which he took their twelve children and fled into Austria. The Plett family are Baptists who homeschool their children. Homeschooling is illegal in Germany since Adolph Hitler banned it; it seems to control his volk. The arrest was eerily Gestapo-like when a plain-clothes policewoman rang the bell to the home of the Plett family. As soon as Katharina Plett answered the door, hidden police officers jumped from behind bushes and trees to ambush Mrs. Plett. She requested to change her clothes into something more appropriate but a police officer was in the bedroom with her in case "she would arm herself and shoot us all." Nice. If I am blessed with children I hope to homeschool them myself. I hope this never happens here in the United States. To read a detailed posting of this account by the Brussels Journal click here.
