Anxiety
Have no anxiety about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, do; and the God of peace will be with you. --Philippians 4:6-9
Who Is Abdul Rahman?
In Islam, according to the Hadith (a collection of sayings by Muhammad), Muhammad says "Kill whoever changes his religion,". In Sharia law the penalty for leaving Islam, apostasy, is execution for men and life imprisonment for women. International pressure, especially from the West, is bearing down on President Hamid Karzai of Afghanistan to prevent Abdul Rahman's execution. From Canada, Australia, and the United States, world leaders everywhere are asking for clemency. Even Pope Benedict XVI has sent a letter asking for Abdul Rahman's pardon written by Cardinal Angelo Sodano. Rumors have been spreading around the blogosphere of a possible release for Abdul Rahman. Hopefully this will come to pass. The plight of Christians everywhere in the Islamic world face severe hardships because of their faith. Let us continue to pray for Abdul Rahman and the many other Christians who are suffering at the hands of Muslims. For an excellent posting on Abdul Rahman, click here. Muslim Cleric: Afghan Christian Must Die
The U.N. of Religions
And Jesus told Peter to build his Church, his Catholic Church, on earth. 'Catholic' is a Greek word which when translated into English means Universal. Thus the Catholic Church is the Universal Church of God. The holy catholic Church."And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my Church, and the powers of death shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."
--Matthew 16:18-19
One holy catholic and apostolic Church as God intended His children to be under. The U.N. of religions? It would be better if the the U.N. were religious first, then we would have no need for a 'U.N. of religions'. But before we all become Catholics, what the rabbi suggests would be a point worth considering. I'd like to suggest that we have its headquarters either in West Hollywood or here in Houston. I know some good real estate on Montrose Blvd that would be extremely beneficial to the surrounding community. For more on the rabbi's call for a 'U.N. of Religions' click here....eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of us all, who is above all and through all and in all.
--Ephesians 4:3-6

Homosexual Marriage Leads to Polygamy
The Ongoing Conversion of Mike S. Adams
"...These congregations perform same-sex ceremonies, although theoretically they can get in trouble for doing so, and they are welcoming communities for people of all sexual orientations."He continued to see what it said about other denominations and seems to have settled for the Southern Baptists because of their conservative stance on homosexuality. Interestingly enough, this website had this to say about our Catholic Church:
"...While the letter said fundamental rights of homosexual men and women were to be respected and defended, it insisted sexual intimacy be limited to man and wife in a marriage."Mike's response? Not bad. Not bad at all. Let us all pray for his conversion to the Catholic Church. For more on this article click here. For more on Mike S. Adams click here. Joel Osteen's Million$$$
Joel Osteen is one rich Christian. I hope he contributes the majority of his millions, if not all, to the poor, starving, and helpless of God's children here in Houston. God will judge according to Joes Osteen's deeds. For if Joel Osteen sees fit to spend his time skiing in the most swank resorts then God judges accordingly while His poor children roam the streets Houston. As the Bible says: Romans 2:6-8, "For He will render to every man according to his works: to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life; but for those who are factious and do not obey the truth, but obey wickedness, there will be wrath and fury." 2 Corinthians 11:15, "So it is not strange if His servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds." 1 Peter 1:17, "And if you invoke as Father Him who judges each one impartially according to his deeds, conduct yourselves with fear throughout the time of your exile." Joel Osteen has done good as far as inspiring the Christians of Houston, but I don't see my parish priest spending his money on ski trips to Colorado. In fact, the religious among us, that's priests to non-Catholics, take a vow of poverty on receiving their Holy Orders. Among these, they take a vow of celibacy and poverty. Thus they can focus all of their attention to serving God almighty. God bless Joel Osteen. God has certainly showered him with many gifts and I am not one to criticize. I just want to know, being that Joel Osteen is the defacto leader of non-denominational Christians, because in my Catholic faith we are all called to serve others. I'm just curious how Joel Osteen intends to serve his 'flock' with the millions he's making. I know my parish priest's circumstances and we, his parishioners, are blessed to have a man of God serve us. How is Joel Osteen serving his flock? (H/T Isolated Desolation) For more on this article click here."The contract does not adhere to the usual book deal with the author receiving an advance on future royalties. The royalty rate is 15 percent of the cover price of each book sold. Rather, the contract is known in the industry as a co-publishing agreement, where the author receives a smaller advance - perhaps $1 million to $2 million - but is then entitled to receive 50 percent of the publisher's profits."
